Reverence, Love, and Freedom

This 9,000 square foot commercial interior fit-out in Bethesda, MD transformed an existing building into a true home for the Potomac Crescent Waldorf School after decades in borrowed spaces. Designed to reflect the school’s values of rhythm, imagination, and child-centered learning, the project includes classrooms, a teaching kitchen, faculty spaces, and a multi-purpose room—all crafted with natural materials, warm textures, and fluid indoor-outdoor connections. Completed on a tight eight-month timeline and modest budget, the space embodies care and intention, most notably through handcrafted benches and shelves made from salvaged white oak. More than a renovation, the project is a quiet tribute to childhood, growth, and reverence for the natural world.
